I have a lot of great ideas about the subject of my narrative, but I am not so sure about how to put it all together. I've just been putting together a string of thoughts and hoping that I can gain some clarity about where to take my writing.
As I continue to think about and write my narrative, I remembered being told in one of our first PAWLP sessions to chose a story as the subject of our writing. This helped me narrow down the possibilities of directions I could have taken my narrative. My writing is now beginning to take shape!
Sometimes the starting to write is the hardest part. Donald Murray (who you will hear me quote this summer) says not to start with the beginning. He also says to just start writing, you can always change it. Starting is scary to me because I'm not sure I'll have the stamina to make the piece into what I want it to be.

Thanks for the feedback Brenda! This is so true. This has definitely been an exercise in patience and resisting my almost unnatural need for a plan. Today my response group echoed Murray's words by telling me to just keep writing and allowing my story to develop.
